Okay, so, I’ve been into watches for a while now, and I’ve always been fascinated by Rolex. They’re just so iconic, you know? But, let’s be real, they’re also crazy expensive. Making My Decision
- Datejust: This one is a classic, for sure. It’s a bit bigger, which I liked, and it has that iconic date window with the Cyclops lens.
- Lady-Datejust: This is basically a smaller version of the Datejust. It’s more delicate, more traditionally feminine, I guess.
- Oyster Perpetual: This one is the simplest of the bunch. No date window, just a clean, classic dial.
After comparing all the specs and looking at a million pictures, I decided to go with the Lady-Datejust. I just loved the size, and how elegant it looked. Plus, I figured the smaller size might be a bit less noticeable as a replica, you know?
I finally took the plunge and placed my order. It was a bit nerve-wracking, to be honest. I was sending a lot of money to someone I’d never met, for something I hadn’t even seen in person. I paid for it through a bank transfer. After I ordered, I kept checking my email every five minutes for a shipping confirmation. The seller was nice, kept me updated and told me about the whole process. Then I got the email with tracking number. They shipped it through a logistics company. I was tracking it online. The package was moving, that was a relief.
And then, it arrived! It took about two weeks in total, which is pretty good considering it came from overseas. Opening that box was like Christmas morning. The watch was beautiful. Seriously, it exceeded all my expectations. The weight, the details, the way it felt on my wrist…it was all just perfect.
