Alright, let’s gab about this here watch, the CopyOMEGA Ω Speedmaster Day-Date. Folks call it the “Original order” too, whatever that means. Sounds fancy, huh? I ain’t no expert, but I know what I like, and this watch… well, it’s somethin’ else.
First off, it ain’t tiny, ya know? They say it’s 40 mm across, which is a good size for seein’ the time, even for my old eyes. It’s round, like a proper watch should be, and the strap, they call it a “band,” well, it’s about 19 mm wide and long enough for most folks, ’bout 8 inches they say. Got one of them push-button thingamajigs to keep it on your wrist, ain’t gonna fall off easy, that’s for sure.
Now, they say this watch can go in the water, not like swimmin’ in the pond deep, but maybe splashin’ around a bit. Says 100 meters, or 330 feet, but I ain’t testin’ that, no sir! It tells the time, hours and minutes, just like it should, and got some other little dials and whatnot, but mostly I just look at the hands.
What’s this Speedmaster all about then?
So, I hear tell this Speedmaster thing started way back when, with them fancy car racin’ fellas. Europe and America, they say. Guess it was a big deal back then, and this watch, well, it’s kinda like a piece of that history, or a copy of it anyways. They got all sorts of Speedmasters out there, some real expensive, some not so much.
- Some cost as little as 1,500 dollars, if they’re a bit beat up.
- Them shiny, new-lookin’ ones with the blue face, they call ’em “ref. 3523.80.00”, them can go for near 3,000 dollars, maybe more.
- I even seen some prices way up there, like 3,400 dollars and such. Land sakes! That’s more than my old truck’s worth!
But this one, this CopyOMEGA, it’s for folks like me, who like the look but ain’t got a money tree growin’ in the backyard. You get the same kinda feel, the same kinda look, without breakin’ the bank.
Lookin’ closer at this here watch
Now, they make these Speedmasters in different sizes, I hear. Some are smaller, like that 39.7 mm one they talk about, more for dressin’ up, I guess. This one’s a bit bigger, feels solid on your wrist. And it’s got all them fancy insides, too, “Omega calibre 3606 self-windin’ chronograph movement” they call it. Sounds complicated, but it just means it keeps tickin’ without you havin’ to wind it up all the time.
It’s got hours, minutes, and a little bitty hand that goes around real fast, that’s the seconds, they say. And then there’s them other dials, for timin’ things, I reckon. I ain’t never used ‘em, but they look fancy, that’s for sure.
Don’t get fooled by them fakes!
Now, if you’re gonna get yourself a Speedmaster, or a copy of one, you gotta watch out for them fakes. Some folks try to trick ya, sellin’ ya somethin’ that ain’t worth a dime. You gotta be careful, look close, make sure it feels right, you know? This CopyOMEGA, it feels good, feels solid. It ain’t the real McCoy, but it’s a good watch for the money.
What I really think about this watch.
So, would I recommend this CopyOMEGA Ω Speedmaster Day-Date, the “Original order” thingy? Well, sure I would. It looks good, feels good, and tells the time just fine. It ain’t gonna win you no beauty pageants, but it’ll get you where you need to go, and you’ll look stylish doin’ it. And you won’t have to sell the farm to get one. That’s what I call a good deal.
And that’s all there is to it, plain and simple. No fancy talk, no big words, just a good watch for a good price. If you’re lookin’ for somethin’ like that, well, this might just be the watch for you.
