You know, I heard them young folks talkin’ ’bout this Fendi Peekaboo ISeeU Small bag, sayin’ it’s the real deal, just like the ones in them fancy stores. They say it’s a “Perfect Copy” or somethin’ like that. I don’t know ’bout all that, but I seen some pictures, and it sure does look pretty. They say it come from the “Official flagship store,” whatever that means.
Now, I ain’t no expert on these fancy bags, I carried a cloth sack all my life, but I can tell you what I seen. This Fendi bag, they call it the “Peekaboo.” Sounds silly to me, peekaboo, but whatever. They got all kinds of ’em, big ones, little ones, all different colors. This one they callin’ the ISeeU Small, I guess it’s a small one.
Some are made of that green cow skin, they call it calfskin or something. They say it’s all fancy, with some kind of weavin’ they do by hand. Sounds like a lot of work to me. Then they say the inside ain’t got no linin’. Just the skin. Like the inside of a cow, I reckon. I had an old cow, Bessie, she had real smooth hide, so maybe this bag is smooth like that, hope that bag won’t make “moo” sound.
And this other one, it’s got that cow skin linin’ too, but it’s all divided up inside. Two compartments, they say, with somethin’ stiff in between. Pink and gray, they say, all soft. Got a pocket inside, too. For your coins and such, I guess. And a gold bar, they say. Real gold? I doubt it. But it shines, I suppose.
I heard some young girl say she got one of these Fendi ISeeU things, a small one and a smaller one, “petite” they call it. Said she didn’t know which one she liked better. Said she wanted it for special times, not for every day. I guess when you’re young and got money to spend, you can have a bag for every day of the week. When I was young I was happy if I had shoes on my feet.
Seems like everybody’s sellin’ these Fendi bags. I seen some folks talkin’ ’bout it, sayin’ they got new ones and used ones. Used ones! Who would buy a used bag? I don’t know. Maybe they ain’t got as much money.

They say it’s because of the, the… quality, yeah, that’s it, quality. And the work they put into it. They say that’s why it costs so much. I guess that makes sense. Back in my day, if somethin’ was made good, it cost more. Still does, I suppose. And it was made to last, too, not like some of the junk they make nowadays.
This one, this Peekaboo ISeeU Small, they say it’s made of black leather. Cuoio Romano, they call it. Sounds Italian. Inside’s brown, they say, with two compartments, just like the other one. Stiff somethin’ in between. Keeps your things separate, I guess.
One girl, she said she got a Fendi Peekaboo, said it was beautiful. Said the leather was real nice. Said she was happy with it. Well, I hope she is. It’s a lot of money for a bag, if you ask me.
They say you can get these Fendi bags on the Fendi website. But this one girl, she said the one she got wasn’t on there, not the same color. Said it was real, though, authentic, they call it. Said it was good quality. Soft and smooth, she said. I guess if you’re gonna spend that kind of money, it better be good.
Now, they say these Fendi bags and these Prada bags, they hold their value. Means you can sell ’em later and get some of your money back, I reckon. That’s good, I guess. Like buyin’ land. It’s always worth somethin’. But a bag? I don’t know.
All I know is, it’s a lot of fuss over a bag. But if it makes them young folks happy, then I guess that’s all that matters. Just hope they don’t spend all their money on fancy things and forget about the important things in life. Like family, and friends, and a good pair of shoes.
